Mixed Result Over The Weekend
On Sat Rangers hosted Cringila Lions in a must win encounter but trailed for 70 minute after John Kontos struck early for the Lions. Picton stormed to the lead after Mat Tesoreiro and Hugo Coronel both scored from long range but incredibly Cringila equalised in a last minute goal mouth scramble.
Under 20's scraped home 1-0 from Aiden Matthews penalty while 1st div trounced Corrimal 10-1.
On Sunday 20's were outplayed by Sth Coast 3-0 likewise Dapto beating 1st Div 2-0.
Junior results saw 13s lose a tight one 1-0, 16/1s 3-0. 16/2s 1-1, U18 girls 3-0 and ladies lost 1-0.

Woonona hosted Picton Sat at Ocean Pk, and pulled off a crucial 2-1 win.....
After Cameron Banks converted an early pen for the sharks, ex-ranger Tim Parker finished a through ball to give his side a 2 goal cushion.
The second half saw Rangers lift their intensity but struggle to get clear chances on goal despite a heap of ball.
Eventually Andrew Borg finished from close range to give Picton a real chance but time and again the sharks blocked every shot.
Ben French even missed a 2nd pen for Woonona but the points were theirs.
In the 20's Picton worked hard after 2 send offs to lead 2-0 through Jarrad Morley and Ben Simpson goals but a Sharks rally and a "suspect" late pen gave them a 2-2 draw.
In 1st Div Rangers were sharp from the start and goals from Ben Realph, Steve Oakes and Nathe Davis settled the result by half time, 3-0 the final score.....
Next week Rangers host Dapto at Hume,
the only juniors result to hand....16/2 4-0 over Camden....

1st Divions Fall one game short of Grand Final
on sat 1st div lads went down 1-0 to Woonona. Their season came to an end after a tight game finished 0-0 in the gale force winds. Early in extra time Woonona scored from set play and the boys were unable to score in the difficult conditions. Overall a good season though, with a lot of young lads coming up from local junior ranks.
RANGERS DOWN CRINGILA LIONS
Picton hosted Cringila in a must win game for both sides. Rangers are fighting for the last semi berth while Crini face a relegation battle. The first half was even with both sides missing chances, the best being by Poliminakis for the visitors. Cringila continued to hold Picton out, with chances on the counter, but eventually the younger legs of the Rangers made the difference. Matt Tesoreiro used his pace down the right before crossing for Vince Milisevic to head home from close range. With capt' Stu Lowrie back in defence for Picton they looked assured, and even when Lions received a penalty, keeper Dan Farias brilliantly pushed it wide. That was Cringila's chance gone, and Tesoreiro punished them again with him slicing thru the middle of their defence to finish it up at 2-0......
U20's continued their good form with a 6-2 thumping of 4th placed Lions. Scott Komel, Tristan Langer and Joe Ngauora all scored before 3 more cracking goals from Logan Hindry, Aaron Stauffer, and Murray Boissery finished the rout.
1st Div pressured the comp leaders Balgownie throughout, but Bally scored the winner in the last minute to deny them any points.
In the juniors the U16 girls won their final 4-1 to join the boys and Ladies in the Grand Finals.

Comp leaders Dandaloo beat Picton 2 nil in the Bampton cup final after a tight contest.
The first half was even with both teams failing to take the few chances they had before a cruel own goal on half time.
The second half started with favourites Dandy "going into their shell" and Picton pressing. But pressure from Rangers didn't bring a goal and Kenchevski settled it for Dandaloo with a close range goal on 75 minutes to decide it 2-0.
In the MDSFA semi's, rangers went down 1-0 in the 16 girls but victories by the u12's 2-0, u15's 1-0 and Ladies have 3 teams in the GF. In the ladies after 1-1 final score it went to penalties with keeper Nicole bagging the winner!!!!!
Next week Picton face Cringila at home......
Rangers win thriller at Port
On Sunday 1st grade meet Dandaloo in the cup final at Memorial Pk Corrimal, 2.30 k.o.
Rangers Defy Dandaloo
Picton travelled to competition leaders Dandaloo on Sunday and came away with a 1-1 draw after an exciting encounter.
Dandaloo fielded a star-studded line-up but Rangers put it to them with their "total football".
Borg had an early chance for Picton before Dan Farias in goals for Rangers made the first of many great saves. Half an hour in Ceccoli got free on the edge of the box and put Dandy in front. The second half saw Dandaloo waste several golden chances and Hugo Coronel made them pay as he was dynamic in midfield for Picton. He helped lay on a chance for Cainn Galea who lashed it into the net for the equaliser. The last quarter of the game was end to end with Dandy incredibly missing 3 clear headers before Parker and Tesoreiro nearly grabbed a winner for Picton. 1-1 final score in a great game.....
Youth grade went to the improving Dandy side 3-1 after Murray Boissery had given Rangers the lead.
1st div went down 1-0 to Bally after missing a host of chances but drew 1-1 with Berkley on sat.
Next Sat Rangers are home against Bulli.........
Rangers man-o-match Hugo Coronel
In the juniors, the 12's, 15'maroons, 16 girls and ladies all qualified for the semi's next week.
Rangers 1st division squad moved to within one spot of the semi's after another win over Uni, 2-0. Cagney and Dan Stewart grabbed the goals from close range.
Youth grade scored a dominant 3-1 win over the comp' leaders and incredibly are now only 2 pts from a playoff spot. Goals from Parker, Lockart, and Muzza Boissery saw off Port's challenge as 3 of their players received red cards in the last 10 minutes.
But it was Picton's day, and Vince Milicevic continued his good run of goals with another cool finish to take the points and move them 1 win from 5th spot.
Picton beat Port Kembla 5-4 in a great win for the club as it all but assures them of Premier League status for 2010. Down early from a Picollini goal Andrew Borg responded with a header to make it 1-1. Craig Wakefield & Aiden Matthews (2) followed with goals for the Rangers but each time Picollini responded for Port in bagging 4 for his side who are still fighting relegation.
